SBI CAPITAL Co., Ltd. (“SBI CAPITAL”) is one of the pioneers of buyout funds in Japan. In 2013, the company celebrates 13 years of establishment. Since its founding in 2001, SBI CAPITAL has sourced and invested in promising domestic companies. In addition, it has grown portfolio companies, assisted with rehabilitation strategies, and increased companies’ value by providing various types of management support. Thus far, we have invested in 14 companies, with total enterprise value of JPY 818 billion.

Since our establishment, we have focused on consistently supporting small and medium-sized enterprises and actively investing in local companies.

In addition to investing risk money in small and medium-sized enterprises that have growth potential but insufficient resources such as people, goods, or money, or those in need of regeneration from conventional management problems, we support this growth and rehabilitation by introducing leading specialists from our network. As such, we give companies a new lease on life.

 We run the investment to meet the needs of business succession from the owners and, particularly in recent years, management buyouts (MBO) of small and medium-sized enterprises.

 We are committed to solving the problems of portfolio companies and increasing their value by taking advantage of the seasoned professionals comprising SBI Group’s domestic and foreign network and through cooperation with the respective company’s officers and employees.
