Yoshitaka Kitao
After 21 years of service at The Nomura Securities Co., Ltd., Mr. Kitao worked as Managing Director of Wasserstein Perella and General Manager in the Corporate Finance & Services Department III.
Thereafter, in July 1995, he assumed the position of Executive Vice President & C.F.O of SoftBank Corp. He played a key role in raising more than ¥300 billion through capital markets, funding SoftBank’s several acquisitions in the US and Japanese companies such as Comdex, Ziff Davis, Trend Micro, Yahoo Japan, and etc.
His current positions are Representative Director & C.E.O of SBI CAPITAL and SBI Holdings and Chairman of SBI Securities and KAWADEN CORPORATION.
He holds an M.A. in Economics from Cambridge University.He graduated from Keio University’s Department of economics and the faculty of economics of University of Cambridge.
Kazuhiro Iwamoto
During his service at The Nomura Securities Co., Ltd., Mr. Iwamoto advised high net-worth clients on asset management and securities investment for more than eight years.
He then joined a major Japanese venture capital firm as an executive officer. He was responsible for all aspects of the deals—from the due diligence process to the exit process—and succeeded in turning five investee companies into public companies.
He joined SBI CAPITAL in June 2001, He has joined SBI CAPITAL and played an important role in the sourcing and execution of deals. He led a portfolio company as C.F.O. to develop values and succeeded in turning around the company after he joined SBI CAPITAL.
He has spearheaded numerous types of deals, including strategically significant minority investments, buyouts, and turnarounds. He holds a B.A. in Law from Tohoku University, and is a Chartered Member of the Security Analysts Association of Japan.
He has over 12 years of experience in the investment business.
Hiraku Chiba
For more than six years during his service at The Nomura Securities Co., Ltd., including Nomura Wasserstein Perella Co., Ltd., Mr. Chiba mainly provided investment banking advisory services to clients based in Japan and abroad.
He performed a key role in all aspects of M&A transactions, such as advising negotiation processes, developing complex valuation models and strategic analyses, executing financial and operational due diligence on site, and drafting various legal agreements and offering memoranda. Prior to joining SBI CAPITAL, he worked for E2-Capital/SBI E2-Capital, an investment bank in Hong Kong, where he managed an investment banking team to invest in Japanese assets such as equity, bonds, and real estate, and provided client services such as advising M&A transactions and financing.
He has taken charge of all aspects related to deals. He developed a value creation plan and succeeded in turning around investee companies.
He holds a B.A. in Foreign Studies from Sophia University.
Ichiro Shikata
Mr. Shikata was affiliated with the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd. for 10 years, during which he was mainly engaged in sales of credit at the securities subsidiary.
Since 2006, he has been involved in corporate regeneration investment at SBI Capital Solutions Co., Ltd., which was owned by SBI Holdings Co., Ltd., where he implemented a series of investments and loan businesses from sourcing through execution, monitoring, and exit. During his six and half years at the company, he completed more than 100 investment and loan cases. These were mainly cases of custom-made finance, factoring transactions, and stock investments such as DIP, corporate regeneration, and M&A finance.
He graduated from Waseda University’s Department of politics and economics.He is a Chartered Member of the Securities Analysts Association of Japan.
Shingo Tamaki
For more than three years during his service at Daiwa Securities Capital Markets Co. Ltd., Mr. Tamaki provided investment banking advisory services to clients based in Japan.
He performed a key role in aspects of M&A transactions, such as advising on the development of a complex valuation model and strategic analyses, executing financial and operational due diligence on site, and drafting various legal agreements and offering memoranda. Then, he joined SBI CAPITAL and he has engaged in the sourcing and execution of deals.
He graduated from Kobe University’s Graduate School of Business Administration.
Takuya Kondo
During four years at Daiwa Securities Capital Markets Co. Ltd., Mr. Kondo mainly provided investment banking advisory services to clients based in Japan.
He provided IPO consulting services in the Initial Public Offering Department, and thereafter worked in Corporate Institution Department VII. Following this, he joined SBI CAPITAL and he has engaged in the sourcing and execution of deals.
He graduated from Kobe University’s Graduate School of Business Administration.
Taeko Umeda
During her four years at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited, Ms. Umeda worked as an auditor for a foreign-affiliated firm in Japan.
After leaving Deloitte, she worked for several foreign-affiliated firms as a manager of administration and a consultant for the implementation of budget control software. She then joined Softbank Corp. and worked for Trend Micro Incorporated as an International Controller. There, she came to grips with the development of a consolidated financial reporting system.
She was involved in upgrading the market from OTC to 1st grade on the Tokyo Stock Market. After that, she joined SOFTBANK INVESTMENT CORPORATION, where she was involved in IPO and in charge of preparing consolidated financial statements.
She holds a Japanese C.P.A. and B.A. in Business Administration from Yokohama National University.
